Sex Therapy North provides therapy for various sexual problems located in West Yorkshire covering Leeds, Bradford, Halifax and Huddersfield.
Many individuals and couples experience difficulties with sex and sexualness at some time in their lives. We live in a society peppered with myths, misunderstandings and much misinformation about sex.
Common sexual problems include losing erection (ED, impotence, erectile dysfunction), difficulties with ejaculation (delayed/retarded and early/premature), arousal, orgasm (anorgasmia) and sexual pain problems (vaginismus and dyspareunia). For others, the difficulty may be a low or excessively high libido, or issues relating to sexual addiction or compulsivity.
Some sexual difficulties can be physical in origin, through illness, disability or the effects of medication, while others may be psychologically based and connected to past negative experiences.
Suffering from one or more sexual dysfunctions is one of the most devastating experiences that a person or couple can encounter. Sexual problems can erode self-confidence and cause intense stress and worry.
However, help is at hand, as many couples and individuals with sexual problems have found sex therapy to be very helpful.
